It has been nearly a year since Jeremy Clarkson added two canine family members to the Diddly Squat Farm crew but fans still love seeing snaps of the adorable dogs on the celebritys Instagram page. Clarksons latest pet picture however has sparked a series of jokes at the expense of his Grand Tour co-star and long-time friend Richard Hammond.
The photo shows one of the stars two dogs - named Sansa and Arya - sat on a plush brown rug with a guilty look on its face. Upon close inspection you can see a tiny little mouse tail trailing from the animals mouth.
The caption reads Dog for the hundredth time I do NOT have a mouse in my mouth. Even though Hammond is famously known as The Hamster fans drew parallels with the unfortunate mouse.
One fan named Dev Chaphekar joked in the comments I do NOT have a Hammond in my mouth. Meanwhile a comment from the official Grand Tour Nation page read Are you sure its not Richard Hammond? followed by a hamster emoji.
Others sided with the guilty looking dog including the official Amazon Prime account for Australia and New Zealand. The brand commented Innocent before proven guilty.
Richard Hammond received his nickname The Hamster in part because of the Ham in his surname and also because of his height. He stands a around 5ft 5 which is smaller than his Grand Tour colleagues.
Sansa and Arya joined Jeremy Clarksons brood in October 2021. They are named after two of Game of Thrones most beloved characters two sisters played by Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.
It is likely that the two troublemakers will make appearances in the newest season of Clarksons Farm set to air in early 2023. Will the doggy duo wreck havoc on Oxfordshires Diddly Squat Farm? Or will they help Clarkson as he tries to navigate the highs and lows of farming life? We still have some time to wait to find out.
